Dynamic wins first CEVO-P title

posted by: Heather "sapphiRe" Mumm on Thu, 07/29/2010 1:41AM
Team Dynamic has been crowned the CEVO-Professional CS:S Season 10 champions following a finals victory over Cyber Revolution.

Despite being acknowledged as the best and most accomplished CS:S team in North American for several years now, it is the first time this group has won a CEVO title. The team has competed together in the past three seasons. Since Season 8, Dynamic (previously known as X3O) competed with the exact same roster and saw much success in regular season competition. However, come playoff time, Dynamic wasn't able to top off the season with a win and instead repeteadly fell just short of a CEVO title.

Just as in previous seasons, Dynamic finished off the current regular season with the best record in the league at 16-2. After taking down Vision.Valor.Victory in Round 1, Dynamic was sent to the Lower Bracket at the hands of Cyber Revolution in a close 16-13 loss. However, with a victory over Netcode Illuminati in the Lower Bracket Finals, Dynamic was able to get a second chance at Cyber Revolution.

The finals were played in a best of three format, though Dynamic only needed two maps to get the job done. On de_nuke, Dynamic topped Cyber Revolution by a 16-11 final score. Moving on to de_inferno, Dynamic just barely sneaked past Cyber Revolution in the final rounds for a 16-13 victory. With that, Dynamic brings home the team's first CEVO-P title.

1st: Dynamic ($2,500)
2nd: Cyber Revolution ($1,750)
2nd: Netcode Illuminati ($750)
