Mouz's cyx in fatal car accident
Mousesports’ player Antonio "cyx" Daniloski died in a car accident on Wednesday. He had a flight with the rest of the mouz team from Frankfurt to Shanghai to attend the Extreme Masters Global Challenge in Shanghai. Daniloski missed the flight but secured a new flight on Thursday morning to be able to join his team mates in China. On the way back from the airport one of his car’s tires failed and the resulting car accident proved fatal.
Daniloski joined mouz in the summer of 2007 with Fatih "gob b" Dayik from Frankfurt’s Finest to take the place of Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel and Tim "silver" Hochgrebe. Both cyx and gob b joined as an up and coming players to breathe new life into a struggling mousesports team.
Breathe new life they did. With Daniloski, Mousesports won the Extreme Master’s Second Season, Third place at ESWC Masters Paris in 2008, won the 2008 Global Challenge in Dubai, won GameGune in 2009, won Extreme Masters Season 4 European Championship, and took second at Arbalet Cup Dallas. While playing cyx was always a passionate player and a solid performer for his team.
Mousesports has canceled their participation in the Global Challenge Shanghai event and have decided to return home immediately.
I didn’t know Daniloski very well, and now wish I did. From everything I observed over the years, he seemed like a good person and the world is worse off without him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the Mousesports team as they deal with the loss of a person who meant a great deal to them. RIP.
